April is here, and it’s time to say goodbye to the cold, wet weather in the San Antonio area — at least for now. Now it’s nothing but sunshine, the rebirth of beautiful flowers, and bees buzzing and pollinating. This month is time to play pranks on your family and friends, or get serious and file your taxes. April is a good time to step out and enjoy picnics in the park, or go hiking if the weather persists. San Antonio has a variety of events for you to go out and join, such as the Healing Arts Festival & Market or the Chaparral Music Festival. Be sure to visit Eventbrite for ticket prices and information.

Tips for College Students

The biggest highlight of this month is, of course, April Fools’ Day, which is celebrated annually to prank your significant other, family, and friends. Looking for the perfect harmless prank? Visit https://www.buzzfeed.com/andyneuenschwander/17-harmless-april-fools-pranks-that-wont-get-you and choose from a variety of pranks. If you currently hold a job, April 15 is the cutoff date to file your taxes, so make it a priority to get those done. There are different services you can go through, such as H&R Block or TurboTax, that charge little to no fee to complete your taxes. If your apartment is in need of some color, this is the perfect time to plant your favorite flower and watch it bloom.

April Is the Month of:
